Cod La Piaggiola
Apartment in the centre of the village, panoramic, easily accessible, fully renovated, ca. 150 sqm., Spread over two floors, gas heating, double glazing. This house is part of a building consisting of two apartments, owned by the same person but which are accessed by different entrances.
It is an old farmhouse, certainly with at least four or five hundred years of history.
It can be reached in five minutes by following the almost entirely flat road that begins from the main square of the town, where all the local shops are. Another access route is from the large car park located on Via Sobborgo.
On the ground floor - which once were stables - there is a series of brick arches along its length, and also across the width, which defined the various parts of the original building, redesigned as a living room (with old stone fireplace) dining area and kitchen. A bathroom with shower, which is housed in a space dug out of the tufa rock. At the rear of the room is a large wine cellar with brick bottle racks carved into the tufa.
Upstairs, which has always been used as a dwelling, a corridor with fitted wardrobes leads to two bedrooms, bathroom (with original stone sink and tub) and a bright living area with a brick fireplace.
The view from this bright location ranges from Mount Cetona to the Umbrian hills.
The renovation of the property took place completely in keeping with the Tuscan tradition: wooden beams and handmade terracotta floors.
